Your Gap Analysis is the strategy behind everything else we developed. It looks at your career as a whole, compares the work you have actually done with where you want to go next, and separates true qualification gaps from presentation problems. In your case, one of the biggest findings was that your experience is much broader than your current Director of Client Finance title suggests. The Gap Analysis also identifies where we need to be careful, such as company-size differences, formal leadership scale, or the requirements of certain COO-level roles.
Use this document as your career strategy guide rather than something you send to employers. Come back to it when you are evaluating a job, deciding whether an opportunity makes sense, preparing for an interview, or wondering whether you really meet the qualifications. It should help you make better decisions instead of automatically assuming that every missing keyword is a missing qualification.
Your Working Resume is your career master document. It is intentionally much longer and more detailed than a résumé you would ever submit for a job because its purpose is to preserve the full scope of your experience: responsibilities, accomplishments, metrics, systems, clients, contracts, leadership, financial scope, operational work, and earlier career history.
Do not send the Working Resume to employers. Use it as the source document whenever you need to build or update a targeted résumé, prepare for an interview, complete an executive application, answer recruiter questions, write a professional bio, or remember the details of something you handled several years ago. Continue adding to it as your career grows. Ideally, you should never have to recreate your career history from memory again.
This is your primary “ready-to-go” résumé. It positions you first as a senior business operations leader while still preserving the finance, commercial, systems, process, risk, and executive experience that makes your background valuable. It is broad enough to work across Director, Senior Director, VP, Head of Business Operations, Finance & Operations, and selected executive-operations opportunities without making you look unfocused.
Use this version when you are networking, sending a résumé to a recruiter without a specific job posting, uploading a résumé to a general talent portal, or applying to a role that broadly matches your business-operations direction. When you have a specific job description, this résumé becomes the starting point for a more targeted version rather than rebuilding your résumé from scratch.
The Business Operations résumé puts the strongest emphasis on organizational growth, scalable systems, process improvement, cross-functional leadership, commercial operations, and the infrastructure required to help a growing company operate effectively. It intentionally keeps finance visible without allowing finance to become your entire professional identity.
Use this version for Director, Senior Director, Vice President, Head of Business Operations, Strategic Operations, Commercial Operations, or similar roles. It is probably the strongest targeted version for the largest portion of your job search because it most closely reflects both the work you enjoy and the broader leadership responsibilities you have developed.
The Finance & Operations résumé moves your financial scope closer to the top. It emphasizes financial volume, monthly and annual close, accounts receivable and payable, cash and liquidity, revenue forecasting, WIP, project economics, billing, collections, enterprise systems, commercial terms, and the way financial information supports operating decisions.
Use this version when the position genuinely combines finance and operations rather than being a traditional accounting or highly specialized finance job. It is particularly useful for Director or VP of Finance & Operations, Head of Finance & Operations, project-based finance leadership, or operational finance positions where the employer wants someone who understands both the numbers and how the business actually works.
The COO-targeted résumé brings forward your organizational scope, executive partnership, decision authority, business growth, systems, people leadership, commercial responsibility, risk, HR administration, compliance, and operating infrastructure. It tells the story of someone who has repeatedly been trusted with responsibilities that sit across the organization rather than inside one narrow department.
Use this version selectively. It is strongest for smaller or growth-stage companies looking for a hands-on COO or senior operating executive who will stay close to finance, systems, people, contracts, clients, and day-to-day operations. It is not intended to suggest that every COO job is the right fit. Large-company COO roles with extensive P&L ownership, multiple executive direct reports, or very large operating organizations should be evaluated individually before applying.
Your LinkedIn Refresh translates your résumé strategy into a profile that sounds more like you and less like a formal résumé. It includes your headline, About section, rewritten experience, prioritized skills, profile strategy, recommendations strategy, visual guidance, networking direction, and a realistic plan for becoming more visible without turning LinkedIn into a second job.
Use the copy-and-paste section to update your profile directly. After the refresh is complete, use LinkedIn as the consistent public version of your professional story. It should support all of your résumé versions rather than changing every time you apply for a different job. Your LinkedIn should keep the broader Senior Business Operations identity while your résumé becomes more specifically targeted behind the scenes.
This portion of your LinkedIn Refresh is about what happens after the profile is updated. You do not need to become a “content creator.” Your strongest LinkedIn strategy is likely thoughtful visibility: reconnecting with people who already know your work, building relationships with operations leaders and specialized recruiters, following companies that fit your goals, and occasionally contributing to conversations where you actually have something useful to say.
Use this strategy throughout your job search rather than only when you have submitted an application. Senior-level opportunities often come through relationships, referrals, recruiter conversations, and people who already understand how you work. The goal is to make sure the right professional community gradually understands the same thing your résumé now communicates: you are much more than your current title.
This prompt is your reusable tool for turning your full A2 Achieve Working Resume into a targeted resume for a specific job. It tells the AI to start with the employer’s actual needs, compare those needs against your documented experience, and then select and emphasize the strongest legitimate matches. It is designed to protect the accuracy of your career story while making sure your broader business operations experience does not get buried behind your current job title or finance background.
To use it, upload your A2 Achieve Working Resume and the full job announcement into the AI tool of your choice, then paste in this prompt. The AI should return a resume tailored specifically to that opportunity using only information supported by your Working Resume. Always review the final version before submitting it, especially job titles, dates, numbers, and any wording that could imply more ownership or experience than you actually had.
