Dave, we started this process with one goal: to make sure your career actually looks on paper like the career you have built over more than two decades. You came into this process with a tremendous amount of experience, but much of your value was buried inside a very long tenure with one company and a resume that did not fully show the scale of what you have accomplished. Through the Working Resume process, we pulled out the numbers, the growth, the leadership, the customer impact, the business development, the strategic account experience, and the stories that make you much more than simply a longtime medical sales representative.
You now have a much stronger foundation for whatever comes next. You have a master Working Resume that preserves your full professional story, four targeted resumes that show you how that story can be positioned differently depending on the role, and an AI system you can use to continue creating customized resumes for future opportunities. My goal was not simply to hand you one polished resume. It was to leave you with the tools to manage your career materials strategically moving forward.
I have provided you with five primary resume documents: your A2 Achieve Working Resume and four targeted resumes.
Your Working Resume is the most important document in this group, but it is also the one document you should not send to an employer.
The Working Resume is your master career file. We built it by pulling together everything that could potentially matter in your professional story: your sales numbers, territory growth, gross profit, account development, customer relationships, contract experience, training and mentoring, surgery center expertise, technology, community involvement, business ownership, real estate experience, leadership stories, and the examples you gave me during the follow-up process.
That is why it is intentionally much longer than a traditional resume.
The Working Resume exists so that we do not have to rely on memory every time you find a new opportunity. Instead of starting from scratch, you now have one place that captures the full scope of your experience. When you apply for a new job, the goal is to pull the most relevant information from this master document and build a shorter, targeted resume around what that particular employer is actually seeking.
Keep this document. Update it.
If you win a major account, receive an award, take on a new responsibility, train someone, lead a project, complete a major contract, learn a new platform, or accomplish something you may want to use later, add it to the Working Resume. It does not have to be polished when you add it. The point is to preserve the information.
Think of the Working Resume as your career database.
The four targeted resumes are not four versions for you to rotate randomly. Each one demonstrates a different way to position the same career depending on the type of job you are pursuing.
Use this version as your starting point for positions such as:
This resume emphasizes the size and performance of your book of business, including your $4 million plus territory, more than $1 million in gross profit, quota performance, top 70 ranking, account expansion, executive relationships, pricing, contracts, complex sales, and the recovery of a major account.
This is probably the strongest general starting point when the employer is looking for someone who can own and grow valuable customer relationships.
Use this version when the employer is focused heavily on:
This resume shifts the story away from simply managing accounts and toward the fact that you built business.
It emphasizes your growth from approximately $800,000 to more than $4 million, your experience developing new accounts, your approximately 40 percent new-business focus, executive prospecting, complex solutions, strategic pricing, account conversion, and your ability to grow relatively small customers into much larger relationships.
This version will likely be especially useful if you decide to transition outside healthcare because the business development story transfers very well across industries.
Use this version as the foundation for roles such as:
This version emphasizes the leadership side of your career without pretending that you have held formal management responsibilities that you have not held.
That distinction matters.
Your leadership story is strong, but it is built around leadership through influence: training and onboarding representatives, mentoring colleagues, serving as a surgery center specialist, participating in sales team roundtables, helping newer representatives, supporting teammates during periods of inconsistent leadership, managing significant revenue, and providing market and product expertise.
For leadership roles, this resume helps an employer see that while you may not have spent your career carrying a traditional management title, you have already been performing many of the functions that make someone valuable as a sales leader.
Use this version when you are applying within healthcare, particularly for opportunities involving:
This version makes your industry expertise a major advantage.
It emphasizes your extensive work with physician practices and surgery centers, your relationships with CEOs, CFOs, physicians, materials managers, and administrators, and your experience with contracting, GPOs, diagnostics, laboratory systems, surgical equipment, inventory systems, medical products, and customer revenue generation.
If the company sells into an environment you already understand, this version should make that experience immediately visible.
Do not assume that one of these four resumes should automatically be submitted unchanged every time.
They are strong finished resumes, but they are also models.
When you find a job that closely matches one of these four categories, start with the version that is most similar. Then compare it against the actual posting.
The employer may emphasize one area more heavily than another.
For example, two Senior Account Executive jobs may have completely different priorities. One employer may care primarily about new customer acquisition. Another may care about retaining and expanding enterprise accounts. Another may place heavy emphasis on contracts and executive relationships.
The strongest resume is always the one that makes your most relevant experience easiest for that particular employer to see.
That is why I have also given you the AI tools below.
Use the Cover Letter Instructions and Template document anytime an application gives you the option to submit a cover letter or when you want to strengthen your application for a role you care about. Start by reviewing the job posting, identify the two or three things the employer appears to value most, and then use the example closest to that type of position as your starting point. Customize the company name, position title, opening paragraph, most relevant accomplishments, and closing so the letter feels specific to that opportunity. The goal is not to repeat your resume, but to connect your strongest experience directly to what that employer needs and give them a clear reason to want to learn more about you.

I have divided your AI resume system into two separate documents.
Start with this document.
The Instructions document explains how the entire process works and what you need to do when you find a job.
It walks you through:
I separated the instructions from the actual prompt so you do not have to sort through a very long document every time you apply for a job.
Read the instructions first and keep them for reference.
This is the document you will actually use repeatedly.
When you find a job you want to pursue:
The prompt is intentionally detailed because I do not want the AI simply taking a job description and stuffing keywords into a generic resume.
It instructs the AI to analyze the employer's priorities, identify the strongest legitimate matches in your career, strategically translate your healthcare experience when you are applying outside healthcare, preserve your most important metrics, optimize the resume for ATS systems, and create a professional targeted resume based on your actual experience.
Most importantly, the prompt repeatedly tells the AI not to make things up.
That matters because AI tools will sometimes try to "help" by filling perceived gaps. If a job posting asks for something you have not done, we do not want an AI deciding that you must have done it and placing it on your resume.
The Working Resume remains the factual source.
The job posting tells the AI what to emphasize.
The prompt tells the AI how to connect the two.
Your Working Resume answers:
What has David actually done?
The job posting answers:
What does this employer need?
The AI prompt answers:
Which parts of David's real experience should we emphasize so this employer immediately understands why he is relevant?
That is the entire strategy.
You should never have to rebuild your professional history from scratch again.
Never submit an AI-generated resume without reading it.
Even with a detailed prompt, you are ultimately responsible for making sure every statement is accurate.
Check the numbers.
Check the titles.
Check the dates.
Check the software.
Check the responsibilities.
Check anything that sounds stronger or different than the way you remember it.
If the AI has overstated something, change it.
If the AI has missed a major accomplishment that clearly matters for the position, tell it to revise the resume using that information from your Working Resume.
AI should make this process faster and more strategic.
It should never replace your judgment.
Your LinkedIn Refresh is designed to make sure your online presence tells the same strong story as your new resume materials. I have repositioned your profile to highlight the full scope of your career, including your $4M+ territory, $1M+ gross profit, strategic account growth, business development, executive relationships, leadership through influence, and healthcare expertise. Use this document to update your headline, About section, experience, skills, and overall profile strategy so recruiters and hiring managers immediately see you as a senior sales and business development professional, not simply as someone who has spent a long time in medical sales.

DownloadAt this point, you have something much more useful than a single updated resume.
You have a career foundation.
Your Working Resume preserves the value you have built over more than two decades. Your four targeted resumes demonstrate how that experience can be positioned for different career directions. Your AI instructions and master prompt give you a repeatable way to build future resumes around individual opportunities without starting over every time.
As you move into the next phase of your search, the goal is simple: find opportunities that make sense, target your materials to the actual job, and let the strength of what you have already accomplished do the work.

Your Gap Analysis is my strategic assessment of where you are now, where you want to go, and what needs to happen between those two points.
It is not a résumé, and it is not meant to be something you send to an employer.
I am looking at your experience against the types of roles you are considering and separating four things:
What you already have.
What you have but are not communicating strongly enough.
What we still need more information about.
What may actually be missing or may create a challenge in the job search.
The point is not to create a giant list of things for you to “fix.” The point is to identify the few things that will make the biggest difference in how we position you and where we focus the search.
Confidentiality, privacy, and YOU matter most to us.
