YOUR WORKING RESUME

Your working resume is your master career file. It includes the full scope of your experience, responsibilities, accomplishments, licenses, skills, and measurable results, so we have one place to pull from whenever you pursue a new opportunity. You will not send this entire document to employers; we will use it to create targeted resumes without losing important details from your background.

YOUR FULL TARGETED RESUME

Your full targeted resume is the primary resume you should use when applying for brokerage operations, office management, transaction management, and similar real estate positions. It presents the strongest and most relevant parts of your experience while still giving employers enough detail to understand the level of responsibility you already carry.

Because you have nearly six years of broad, high-volume experience, an active broker license, and responsibilities that cross several professional areas, your experience should not automatically be forced onto one page. A strong two- or three-page resume is appropriate when the information is relevant and helps demonstrate your qualifications.

YOUR LINKED IN REFRESH

Your LinkedIn refresh positions you as an associate broker and real estate operations professional, not as an assistant or an agent looking to build a personal sales business. It gives you updated language for your headline, About section, work experience, skills, and career direction so brokers and other real estate employers can quickly understand the value you bring.

YOUR LINKED IN POSTING SCHEDULE

Your LinkedIn posting schedule gives you a practical plan for building professional visibility without feeling like you have to become a full-time content creator. The topics are designed to demonstrate your knowledge of contracts, transactions, closings, client communication, agent support, and brokerage operations while helping the right people begin to see you in a management and operations role.

YOUR MEETING GUIDE

Your meeting guide is designed to help you walk into tomorrow’s conversation prepared, confident, and clear about what you are seeking. It includes your professional introduction, key talking points, questions to ask the broker, questions you should be ready to answer, compensation considerations, confidentiality language, and reminders about what information should remain private.

YOUR TWO PAGE MEETING RESUME

Your two-page resume was created specifically for tomorrow’s meeting. It gives the broker a focused but substantial overview of your experience, licensing, transaction knowledge, operational responsibilities, systems development, and professional value without overwhelming the conversation with your full working resume.

You have too much relevant experience to reduce everything to one page and still accurately show what you can do. The two-page version gives the broker enough detail to recognize that you are prepared for brokerage operations or office management, not simply another administrative support position.

YOUR ONE PAGE FLY SHEET

Your one-page fly sheet is a quick marketing piece you can leave with the broker tomorrow along with your two-page resume. It is designed to be scanned quickly and remembered later, with a clear summary of what you bring to a brokerage, the scope of your experience, and the types of positions you are seeking.

The fly sheet does not replace your resume. It supports it by giving the broker a simple, easy-to-reference picture of how you could help manage transactions, support agents, improve office systems, and make daily brokerage operations run more smoothly.

CAREER MAP AND GAP ANALYSIS

WHAT THIS DOCUMENT IS

Your Career Map and Gap Analysis is an objective review of where you are professionally, where your experience may take you next, and what could strengthen your candidacy for the positions you want.

A gap analysis does not mean that you have done something wrong or that you are not qualified. Every professional has gaps between the work they are doing today and the qualifications requested for their next-level position.

This document is designed to help us identify those gaps early so we can address them strategically.

WHAT YOUR ANALYSIS SHOWS

Your experience extends well beyond traditional administrative support.

You have progressed from a personal-assistant position to a licensed real estate salesperson and then to a licensed broker. You now perform work associated with real estate operations, transaction coordination, listing management, contract administration, closing coordination, client service, executive support, marketing, vendor coordination, and negotiation.

You support real estate transactions from initial listing preparation through closing and post-closing follow-up. Your responsibilities include organizing contracts, monitoring contingencies, maintaining transaction records, updating MLS listings, communicating with clients, lenders and closing attorneys, coordinating inspections and repairs, tracking earnest money, arranging remote closings, and helping solve problems that could delay or disrupt a sale.

Your experience may support several possible career paths, including:

  • Real Estate Operations Manager
  • Real Estate Office Manager
  • Brokerage Administrator
  • Transaction Manager
  • Senior Transaction Coordinator
  • Listing and Closing Coordinator
  • Real Estate Contract Administrator
  • Title or Closing Coordinator
  • Real Estate Legal Assistant
  • Closing Office Administrator
  • Executive Operations Coordinator
  • Office and Executive Operations Manager

Your strongest immediate opportunities appear to be positions that combine real estate knowledge, transaction management, organization, client communication, and operational responsibility.

YOUR PRIMARY STRENGTHS

Your career analysis identifies several important strengths.

Professional progression

You entered the real estate industry in October 2020, earned your salesperson license in Spring 2021, and earned your broker license in Spring 2024. That progression demonstrates initiative, discipline, professional commitment, and the ability to learn quickly.

Transaction knowledge

You understand how listings, contracts, contingencies, earnest money, inspections, repair requests, lenders, attorneys, commissions, closings, and client communication work together.

Operational thinking

You do not simply wait for someone to assign individual tasks. You look at the entire process, identify what is missing, organize the necessary information, track deadlines, and follow up until the work is complete.

Client service

You provide clients with a dependable second point of contact. Your involvement helps reduce confusion and frustration during what can be a stressful and emotional process.

Negotiation and conflict resolution

You understand that successful negotiation often begins with identifying what matters most to each person. You help parties work toward compromises that allow a transaction to continue while helping both sides feel heard.

Confidentiality and trust

You have been trusted with highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, property, and business information. That level of responsibility demonstrates discretion, loyalty, judgment, and reliability.

Drive and persistence

You have identified your work ethic as one of your greatest professional advantages. You are performance-focused, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to continue working through a problem until it is resolved.

PRIMARY AREAS TO STRENGTHEN

Measurable results

We need to add numbers that demonstrate the scope of your work.

Examples may include:

  • The number of transactions you support each year
  • The number of listings you manage
  • The total sales volume supported
  • The number of clients served
  • The number of transactions managed simultaneously
  • The number or percentage of closings completed on time
  • The number of agents, lenders, attorneys, vendors, and contractors you coordinate with
  • The amount of property expenses you track
  • The time saved through systems you created
  • The number of problems, errors, or delays you helped prevent

These numbers will help employers understand the size and significance of your responsibilities.

Formal management experience

You already demonstrate informal leadership through transaction coordination, agent support, vendor management, problem-solving, and high-pressure decision-making.

For positions with “manager” in the title, we need to document any experience you have with:

  • Training others
  • Assigning or coordinating work
  • Establishing procedures
  • Reviewing documents or work products
  • Leading meetings or calls
  • Managing schedules
  • Coordinating contractors
  • Resolving conflict
  • Stepping in when another team member is unavailable
  • Financial operations

You have experience paying bills, handling sensitive financial information, and tracking property expenses against estimated profit.

We need to clarify your experience with:

  • Budget tracking
  • Expense reports
  • Account reconciliation
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Bookkeeping
  • QuickBooks or similar software
  • Profit-and-loss information

You do not need to become an accountant, but stronger financial-operations knowledge could qualify you for more office-management and operations positions.

Technology

We have identified experience with Dotloop, DocuSign, Valley MLS, and Excel. We also need to document your experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Workspace, Canva, customer relationship management systems, accounting software, project-management tools, and social media platforms.

Process development

You have stated that you created systems that made operations and the buying and selling processes run more smoothly.

We need to identify and document the specific tools you created, such as:

  • New-listing checklists
  • Contract-to-closing checklists
  • Closing calendars
  • Earnest money trackers
  • Inspection and repair trackers
  • First-right-of-refusal trackers
  • Client communication templates
  • Showing folders
  • Expense trackers
  • Remote-closing procedures
  • Vendor lists

These materials may eventually become part of a professional work-sample portfolio, with all client and company information removed.

Leadership examples

You need several clear stories that show how you lead, even when leadership was not included in your job title.

Strong examples may include:

  • A transaction you helped prevent from falling apart
  • A conflict you helped resolve
  • A deadline you prevented from being missed
  • A difficult client situation you managed
  • A repair negotiation you helped move forward
  • A closing that required urgent coordination
  • A time you stepped in because an agent or coworker was unavailable
  • A process that was disorganized until you created a better system
  • A sensitive situation that required discretion and judgment

CAREER MAP & GAP ANALYSIS FOR SAMANTHA WILDER

HOW TO USE YOUR GAP ANALYSIS

Read the entire document once without feeling that you need to take immediate action.

Then identify the areas where you already have information that we simply have not documented. Many of the identified “gaps” may not actually be missing experience. They may only be missing details.

Use the Follow-Up Question Document to help fill in those details.

As we collect more information, your gap analysis can be updated. We can also use it to decide which training, certifications, software skills, or leadership opportunities would provide the greatest career benefit.

THE WORKING RESUME

WHAT IS A WORKING RESUME?

A Working Resume is your comprehensive career master document.

It is not limited to one page, and it is not intended to be submitted to every employer exactly as written.

Instead, it captures the full scope of your professional history, responsibilities, accomplishments, licenses, education, technical skills, leadership, community involvement, and transferable experience.

Most people try to create one resume that works for every position. That approach often results in a document that is either too general or too long.

Your Working Resume solves that problem.

It gives us one organized source of information that can be used to create a shorter, targeted resume for each position you pursue.

HOW YOUR WORKING RESUME IS DIFFERENT FROM A TARGETED RESUME

Your Working Resume:

  • Contains the broadest version of your experience
  • May be several pages long
  • Includes responsibilities that may not be relevant to every job
  • Preserves important details for future use
  • Continues growing throughout your career
  • Is primarily a planning and career-development tool

A targeted resume:

  • Is created for a particular job or type of position
  • Usually contains one or two pages
  • Uses keywords from the job description
  • Emphasizes the experience most relevant to that employer
  • May minimize or omit unrelated responsibilities
  • Is the version submitted with an application

For example, a resume targeting a real estate operations manager position would emphasize your systems, office coordination, process improvement, transaction oversight, and leadership.

A resume targeting a title or closing company would emphasize contracts, deadlines, attorney communication, earnest money, closing documents, remote closings, and client coordination.

A resume targeting an executive operations position would place more emphasis on confidentiality, financial administration, scheduling, judgment, business support, and problem-solving.

All three versions would come from the same Working Resume.

WHY YOUR WORKING RESUME MATTERS

Your current role includes responsibilities that could easily be divided among several employees.

You perform work associated with:

  • Real estate operations
  • Transaction coordination
  • Listing coordination
  • Closing administration
  • Contract processing
  • Client service
  • Marketing
  • Vendor coordination
  • Expense tracking
  • Executive support
  • Personal support
  • Negotiation
  • Problem-solving
  • Confidential information management

Without a comprehensive Working Resume, some of those responsibilities could be forgotten or overlooked.

The Working Resume allows us to preserve the full story of your experience while being selective about what appears on each targeted application.

HOW TO USE YOUR WORKING RESUME

  1. Review the document carefully.
  2. Look for responsibilities that are missing.
  3. Add comments when you remember an accomplishment, number, system, or example.
  4. Do not worry if the document feels too long. It is supposed to be comprehensive.
  5. Do not submit the full Working Resume without first creating a targeted version.
  6. Send me job postings that interest you so we can identify which parts of the Working Resume should be included.
  7. Continue updating the document as you gain new experience, earn credentials, complete training, or take on additional responsibilities.

ABOUT YOUR WORKING RESUME

Samantha, your Working Resume reflects the professional level of the work you are already performing.

Your internal title may have included “administrative assistant” or “personal assistant,” but those terms do not fully communicate your responsibilities.

Your experience includes broker-level real estate knowledge, transaction coordination, contract processing, listing administration, closing support, client communication, operational organization, negotiation, marketing, vendor coordination, expense tracking, and highly confidential executive support.

For that reason, your Working Resume uses language that helps employers understand the functions you perform while remaining truthful about your employment history.

Your current professional identity is presented as:

Associate Broker | Real Estate Operations, Transaction and Executive Support

This language is not intended to misrepresent your official title. It is intended to clearly explain the type and level of work you perform.
